“The King has arrived! Make a hole!” General Yuz shouted.
The troops quickly made a path for the King to walk to the front lines.
“Your majesty.” Yuz greeted as the King made his way to the front.
“What’s the situation Yuz?” The King asked. “You may speak freely, old friend.”
“Well, to be frank, Batuk, the raiders are kicking our ass outside the wall, but the men are trying their best to hold strong. Our main forces are still a day’s march away, but I think the troops will give their lives to defend this wall.” The general put it bluntly.
“Hm, I see. Move everyone back behind the wall in a full retreat.” The King commanded.
“Your majesty, that would cripple our morale, and I don’t know if we would be able to get that back. The wall would surely fall to our enemies.” Yuz objected.
“I’m disappointed in you Yuz, have you lost faith in your King? Your oldest friend?” The King asked jokingly.
General Yuz took in a deep sigh, “Of course not your majesty.” He said right before he signaled for the troops to retreat.
“Good, now I don’t have to hold back.” The King admitted, his demeanor completely changed.
The King leaped from the wall, and when he landed, the ground erupted beneath his feet, sending quakes throughout the battlefield. Once the Raiders caught their footing, they shot a wave of arrows at the King, trying to quickly end his life. Once the arrows made their way towards the King, he summoned a barrier of fire around himself. Decimating all arrows it came in contact with. Once the barrier dropped, the enemies panicked when the King was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, cries erupted throughout the Raiders backline as the King flashed throughout, slaying everyone in sight. During the King’s rampage, the leader of the Raider’s attack snuck behind him and slashed his back. The King was unfazed as he turned to look his assailant in the eye.
“You’re pretty fast for a Raider.” The King admitted.
“You’re lucky I didn’t get the killing blow,” The man responded.
“Oh, this?” The King asked, pointing to the cut on his back.
Batuk smiled, and shortly after, flame spouted from the fresh-cut, healing it completely.
“You’re a monster…” The man fretted.
“Only to those that would dare attack my kingdom. We are a peaceful nation, but we are not weak. And for you to try to raid us in the middle of the night… I will not spare you and mercy.” The King said as his eyes began to emit a red hue.
“Retreat!” The Raider’s leader shouted, but it was too late.
Immense heat vibrated from the King’s body, and waves of fire erupted from the ground decimating all of his enemies. General Yuz watched in awe at the King’s power, as the soldiers began to cheer and praise the victory.
“That’s our King,” General Yuz said as he gave a salute.
