Royalty: The Enforcer

Firstly, let me say happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there! May your day be great. Next, if you haven’t checked out the first Royalty, I advise you to check that one out first so you can get a grasp of whats going on, and whom The Enforcer is.

Today was the day Zeva would get to see her brother fight. She brimmed with happiness as she walked to the arena. The stadium packed with fans who also wanted to witness the Enforcer’s strength. Zeva made her way to her seat next to a guy named Keto, whom she met recently.

“I can’t wait to see Naeem The Enforcer and Kyle The White Knight go at it,” Effused Keto.

“It might be an exciting fight, but Naeem will surely take the win,” Zeva replied.

“No way! Kyle will definitely win.” Keto protested, “Naeem may be Ryzol’s Enforcer, but Kyle is the Western Kingdom’s White Knight and has seen lots of war and has the fighting experience.”

“Naeem would never lose to someone like him!” Zeva stressed as she stared down Keto.

“Do you know him personally or something.” he wondered.

“Oh, no.” Zeva simmered down. “I can just tell, by the way, he carries himself.”

“Someone sounds like they have a crush on the Enforcer.”

Zeva nearly threw up in her mouth at the accusation. I would never like my brother like that, that’s disgusting, she thought to herself.

“Trust me, that’s the last thing on my mind.” she expressed.

“It might be the last thing, but it’s a thing on your mind.” Keto teased.

Zeva began to form ice around her fist, “Don’t make me strike you out of anger.”

Keto threw his hands up, “Okay, Okay, chill. I quit.” He laughed.

Zeva rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to the ring. The announcer walked out onto the stage.

“ARE YOUUUU READY FORRR THE FRIENDLY FIGHT OF THE CENTURYYYYY???” The announcer shouted.

The crowd went wild.

“WE HAVE NAEEM THE ENFORCER ON ONE SIDE, AND KYLE THE WHITE KNIGHT ON THE OTHER! YOU BOTH KNOW THE RULES, WHEN THAT FLARE GOES OFF YOU GO AT IT! The announcer roared before he stepped off the stage.

Both competitors stepped onto the stage and awaited the flare to go off.

“This should be fun, don’t you think?” Kyle asked.

“Sure,” Naeem replied, scanning the crowd.

The flare went off, and Kyle came at Naeem with fierce speed, swinging his sword. Naeem barely dodged but didn’t take his eyes off the crowd.

Zeva stared at the arena, “What are you doing! He almost killed you! Pay attention!” She yelled.

Naeem’s eyes locked in on her location when he heard the faintest sound of Zeva’s voice.

“I wouldn’t want to mistakenly kill you and cause a war between our two nations. So can you do me a favor and pay attention to the match?” Kyle asked.

A smile graced Naeem’s face as he turned his attention back towards Kyle. “Trust me, death is the least of my worries right now. That swing wouldn’t have made a cut, and you didn’t have any killing intent in that swing. Now, if you really want to make this an interesting fight, come at me with everything you have.” Naeem dared.

“You sound really full of yourself, that’ll get you killed on the battlefield.” chided Kyle as he dropped his heavy armor plates from his upper body.

A powerful aura started emitting from his body.

“LOOKS LIKE THE WHITE KNIGHT PLANS ON ENDING THIS IN ONE BLOW!!” the announcer screamed to the crowd as they went wild.

Worry started to creep up in Zeva’s mind as she felt the presence of Kyle’s deadly aura high up in the stadium. Be careful, Naeem, she thought.

Naeem stayed calm as he stared down, Kyle. Seconds later, Kyle was in Naeem’s face delivering powerful blows that sent him towards the end of the ring, nearly knocking him out. The crowd erupted in cheers.

“This is the end,” Kyle muttered as he summoned a powerful burst of energy that ripped apart the stage and shot it at Naeem.

The blast collided with the end of the stage, and a massive cloud of smoke appeared.

Zeva and the rest of the crowd were utterly silent as they watched the smoke clear. Fear started to take hold of Zeva when the smoke cleared, and she didn’t see her brother.

“Oops, I guess I went a bit overboard.” Kyle shrugged as he looked at the announcer. “Call my win.”

The announcer was shaking horribly as he pointed to the sky. “LOOK ABOVE YOU!”

Kyle and everyone in attendance looked towards the sky. There stood Naeem, floating, summoning a powerful lightning spell. His face still calm and composed. As the lightning got more potent, it started destroying the stadium. People in the seats started running for the overhang of the stadium, but not Zeva. She didn’t move. Instead, her blood began to boil with excitement. She wanted to be just as strong as her brother or stronger. There was no way she was going to run and miss seeing her brother’s power. She watched as her brother started to release his attack, but Kyle held up three fingers in a surprise move.

“I concede,” Kyle told the announcer.

“THE MATCH IS OVER!! OUR ENFORCER WINS!” the announcer screamed, causing the crowd to come back out in cheers.

Naeem dissolved his spell and floated back down to the stage. “You’re a powerful foe, I can see why you are feared in the west,” he admitted. “If I would have given anything less than my best, you probably would have killed me.”

“You don’t have to be modest, You had the match from the beginning. I’ll go train and get stronger, then I’ll be back to fight you on an even level.” Kyle replied as he left the stage.

“I’ll be here waiting.” Naeem smiled.

Naeem shot a look in his sister’s direction, continue forward, and you too will get stronger, he thought to himself as he walked off the stage.

“He’s so strong!” Zeva shouted with excitement.

“Zev… are you okay?” Keto asked as he watched her clench her hands tightly.

“Yeah, my new goal is to be stronger than that guy.”
