Hello, my good folks, I would highly recommend checking out Retired before reading on. This story serves as part two, and it would help with any confusion. Thanks!
Kevin sat in the bathroom stall for the past twenty-five minutes playing his favorite game, Rum Run on his cellphone. Time continued to pass, and Kevin’s legs began to tingle, and his feet went numb. Trying to shake off the tingling and numbness, he heard the bathroom door suddenly open, distracting him from his game. Pausing his match, Kevin could hear the person relieving themselves in the urinal, followed by a flush, and the door reopens.
“Guy didn’t even have the courtesy to wash his hands.” Kevin gibed as he pressed play on his game.
He was coming close to beating the high score of a player named SkyZender1718, Kevin couldn’t stand whoever it was because they held the highest rating for months, and now it was his for the taking. Suddenly, the lights in the bathroom went out, and Kevin’s stall door burst open. A man stood in the doorway staring at Kevin with a grin on his face.
“You’re a hard man to find Kevin.” The man said in a croaky voice.
“Not you again, Frank.” Kevin groused and paused his game again when he realized it was the same guy that pursued him at the cafe.
“My name ain’t F..” He started.
“Don’t care.” Kevin interrupted as he attempted to charge at Frank, but when he raised up his legs buckled under him as his feet were still numb.
“Ha, this is going to be easier than expected.” Frank snickered yanking Kevin up from the floor and throwing him into the wall choking him with his forearm.
Kevin wheezed and stared at his phone trying to check the timer on his game so it wouldn’t unpause. A hundred and twenty seconds was all that was left on his timer. Kevin had to get rid of Frank and quickly if he wanted to beat SkyZender1718 high score. With Kevin’s feet finally getting their life back, he landed a powerful kick to Frank’s stomach, pushing him back. With Frank staggered, Kevin charged at him delivering two strikes to the forehead and a swift leg swoop knocking Frank to the ground. To Kevin’s dismay, Frank recovered quickly, sweeping his legs from under him, and jumping to his feet. Rushing to the sink, Frank riped the paper towel dispenser from the wall and turned to beat Kevin over the head with it.
“You can make this easy on yourself and just talk to Nina!” Frank badgered as he continued his unrelenting attack.
Grabbing the paper towel dispenser from Frank, Kevin delivered a headbutt to the foe and sent him reeling backward. Taking this chance to check his phone, he noticed there were only twenty seconds left before he had to unpause it.
“What’s that?” Frank asked as he hit Kevin over the head with the trashcan.
Frank grabbed Kevin’s phone and noticed it was on his favorite game.
“So you’re the guy always trying to beat my high score?” Frank asked. “Looks like you’re pretty close to beating it actually, but I’ve got some bad news for you. It took me a while to get such a high score, I can’t allow you to beat it.” He continued.
Kevin’s eyes widened as he watched Frank bend his phone, breaking it into two.
“No high score you for you.” Frank mocked.
Raged began to blossom in Kevin’s stomach. “You asshole, I’ve been in here for the last half hour playing that.” he fumed.
Playtime was over as he jounced up to his feet and stormed Frank. The former hitman was becoming too much for Frank as he executed flawless mastery of hand to hand combat. One precise strike after another had Frank dazed until Kevin landed a roundhouse kick to Franks temple rendering him insensible.
“Tell Nina if she comes for me again, she won’t like what happens next,” Kevin assured Frank as he walked out the bathroom.
