It all started as A social media joke until people began to get curious and latch on to the idea of actually raiding Area 51. Aliens have always been a hot topic around the world, and this was a chance to find out if the mystery surrounding Area 51, and Aliens was true or false. A secret group began to form, and an idea quickly turned into reality. I stood with the Legion outside Area 51, staring down the armed guards. They shouted over the loudspeaker for us to turn around and not risk our lives over something so meaningless. If you don’t have anything to hide, let us in so we can see for ourselves, someone yelled from the crowd. The guards went silent and started advancing on us. One of us will make it through, I thought as things intensified, and sweat began dripping from my forehead. Throwing my hand up, I gave the signal to those that hid in the trenches. Rocks showered them with tremendous force, sending them into defensive formations, stopping their advancement. Presenting the second signal, the runners came from the backside of the base. Ramming their bodies into the shields of the guards. Leaving us, the initial distraction the opportunity to try to wiggle our way through all the commotion.
“Hey!, get back here!” A guard yelled at me as I made my way through the gate.
The guard was in pursuit, but one of the runners, ran into him, putting some distance between us. I ran down into a tunnel until I reached a door that required key card access. My friend James prepared me for this moment, giving me a key card that I inserted. I gasped when a red light appeared denying me access to what was behind the door. I started to hear footsteps coming through the tunnel as I swiped again hoping to get a different result.
“Please leave key card inserted.” An autonomous voice notified.
The machine’s voice must have given the people trailing me an indication that someone besides them was in the tunnel. Their footsteps hastened, and it felt like they were going to catch me within seconds. I quickly lodged the card into the slot, begging for the red light to turn green and open the door. Finally, A loud click, followed by a popping sound opened the door. I snatched the keycard and immediately ran inside. I entered a chamber that began dispensing steam before it let me go any further. I couldn’t believe what my eyes were seeing once I exited the decontamination chamber.
“Hey!, you can’t be here!” A man in a lab coat yelled at me. “How’d you get in here?” He asked.
I ignored him, as I stood frozen, making eye contact with a creature who was harnessed to the wall.
“Get him out of here, now!” The man shouted.
I felt my body smack the ground in a moments notice, but I never broke eye contact with the creature.
“How did you idiots let anyone get through?” He asked a guard. “Take him to the holding chamber, we’re going to have to wipe him and get him out of here.”
They began walking me towards the creature, near a narrow hallway. When I was within inches of the creature, it made a screeching noise while lifting itself from the wall, barely grazing my arm with what appeared to be its foot. The men in lab coats shot a dart at it, immediately subduing it. The guards turned their attention back towards me, rushing me to a darkroom in the back of the hallway.
“You won’t remember a thing, kid.” The guardsman told me. “It’s going to suck, not even remembering that you’ve actually seen an alien.”
I woke up the next morning, laying in what the earthlings called a bed. I remembered everything they did to me as I hung on that wall. My brothers, they killed to further their research of my species. The technology they stole, to build nukes, and advanced ships. I swear, with this new body, I’ll find my ship and call for a grand-scale invasion on this species. The long game begins today.
