Darvu climbed up the mountain as fast as he could while barbarians rampaged his village below. He had no choice but to attempt something his parents disapproved of, to save his home. Once he reached the top, Darvu grabbed his father’s staff from a pouch on his back. Darvu jammed the staff into the ground and pulled the summoning book from his bag.
“Dad, I know you told me never to play with your book of spells, but I have to help,” Darvu said aloud.
Opening the book, Darvu flipped through the pages until he found someone that looked powerful in the book. He stopped when he got to a creature by the name of Namu. His dad had notes on the page.
“Don’t ever summon unless you absolutely have to. The creature is extremely powerful and hard to tame.”
“I guess this is a necessary case.” Darvu expressed.
He sat the book down on the ground and gripped his hands around the staff. Slowly he started to chant the words from the book, but nothing happened. Quickly, he picked the book back up and read the page over again, and thought, maybe he wasn’t strong enough to summon that creature. He flipped through more pages and chanted the words of every page until something worked. The power of the staff surprised him when it worked. It glew a bright hue of red and floated in the air. Darvu didn’t know what was next until the staff suddenly flew towards him and went inside of his body. He felt pain course throughout his body as he fell to the ground. Immediately grabbing the book, Darvu read the page he chanted, and his eyes widened.
Soul Exchange:
Whoever summons my power grants me the ability to take over their body, I will grant them their greatest desire in exchange for their life force.
“No, No, No! What did I do.” He panicked, as the world around him went dark.
